Alcester & Bidford Rotary are part of a family of over 350,000 clubs with more than 1.2 million members wordwide. In the UK, Rotary has approximately 47,000 members in over 1,700 clubs. Rotarians are volunteering their time and talents to tackle challenges at home and abroad.
The Rotary Foundation, Rotary’s own charity, raised over $341m in 2017-2018 with over 91% of those funds used to support projects around the world including putting a further $143m towards it’s aim to eradicate polio.
Founded in 2010 as Alcester Alauna Rotary, we changed our name to Alcester & Bidford Rotary on July 1st 2018. We have over twenty members who meet every Thursday morning for breakfast at 7:15 AM at the Kings Court Hotel, Kings Coughton, Alcester B49 5QQ.
One of our main fundraising events of the year are the Big Breakfasts held biannually in Alcester and Bidford, it’s your chance to have a delicious cooked breakfast whilst helping others, donating has never been easier or more satisfying.
Look out for or Pimms stall at the Alcester Food Festival and the Alcester Motor Show, and more recently our Noodle Trailer, owned by two Rotarians and turned over to Rotary for the day.
Of course, there’s little point in raising lots of money if you just keep it in the bank. Rather than write a long list of the organisations and projects we have supported, this poster shows who has benefited from your donations.
If you are interested to know more about Alcester & Bidford Rotary then why not come along to one of our meetings, we always welcome guests, prospective members and visiting Rotarians.
